Media Meltdown was started in 2012 with Ryan and Stephen as a fun way to take their work conversations about movies and TV to the public. They came up with a High 5, or top five list, concept that would cover everything media including movies, television, comic books, music, and more. They had a series of guests on to help including Jeff.
Jeff quickly became a core member of the group, and after recording one of the most downloaded High 5 episodes on Disney, Stephen and Jeff decided on adding a Disney-centric show called Mousecast. It's there that Stephen realized that the young network had no real place to talk entertainment news. Network regular, Sean, and Stephen launched The Newsroom. They quickly added Roy to the mix and that group lasted for two years with talk about Kickstarter, Spike Lee, and many comic book related news stories. A fan of Mousecast, Steve C. would make his debut on The Newsroom's Comic-Con episode. He quickly became a part of Mousecast and when Sean & Roy left, Steve C. joined Jeff and Stephen on The Newsroom.
Dan and Ryan filled a void for the art movie crowd and serious collectors of the Criterion Collection films and started Focus on Film. Marc joined our group after Stephen guested on his great show, now part of our network, CRH. Being wrestling fans, Ryan, Jeff, and Marc started Time Limit Draw and have a great following in the wrestling community.
The network has now expanded to YouTube, Instagram, and a variety of other social media platforms. We're proud of the shows we produce and have a great time recording them. Everyone loves the growing fan base and the great interactions had with them regularly.
If you are new to the network thank you for joining us, if you are a fan from way back, thank you for staying with us. LET'S GO!

Stephen, after being modeled out of lumpy clay, came to be as a fully formed adult male. Stephen has traveled all over this globe you call Earth, even becoming brothers with an Eskimo for a brief time. While trying to learn the culture he tries to adapt to, he has grown to love media in general. An avid movie watcher, he tows the line of being mainstream and hipster with little result. If TV were dirt he would be a Dyson. Trying to simulate a soul is hard, so he takes in all kinds of music from old school country to old school rap. He is a comic book fan and loves the stories foretold in these texts. He has a deep admiration for all things Disney and finds great joy in the realm of Walt Disney World. To share his experience on this planet, he started Media Meltdown Podcast with a being known only as the Ryan. You can find him on the High 5, Newsroom, and Mousecast. His wish is to conquer you all.... I mean to share his passions with you. Yeah, that's the ticket.
Ryan is a master of six different types of martial arts. So don't try to fight him or anything because he'll totally win. He is a fan of professional wrestling (probably way more than any human being should be) and you can hear him talking about that monthly on Time Limit Draw. He's a fan of movies, and talks about some of his favorites on The High 5 weekly as well as Focus on Film every month when The Criterion Collection makes their release announcement! Check him out on these great shows! Or don't. I don't really care. Do what you want. But seriously, you should probably listen. He needs to put food in his cat's bowls.
Jeff was born in the Great Smokey Mountains of Tennessee. His Pappy delivered him in the shed by the light of a lantern. Jeff was only 8 months old when he started working in the sugar mines. From an early age he showed talent as a miner and in interpretive jazz dancing. In school Jeff struggled as his massive physique intimidated the male teachers, while the female teachers wanted to see him flex his muscles, especially one big one in particular.
Jeff dropped out of school, and briefly worked for a local movie theater. He won the Nobel prize for science in 1988 when he discovered that the gunk on the cinema floor could be used to make an adhesive 10 times stronger than super glue. Jeff used the millions he made to retire with his super model wife and super modelette children.
In 2006 he...what? This is supposed to be real? Oh shit.
Well, in that case Jeff is a happily married father of two who has been a huge fan of movies since starting his first job at a movie theater back in 1989. He enjoys reading (yes, there are still a few of us who do), sports, professional wrestling, theater (odd combination huh?), and mostly spending time with his family. Jeff loves podcasting with his podcast brothers, and hopes our listeners can tell how much fun we have.
After Marc's parents were killed in a random act of violence – no... that's Batman.
Marc is the last son of Krypton – no... that's Superman.
Marc used to be a fighter pilot until one day a magical ring – Damnit! That's Green Lantern!
Ok... Marc has been a bit of a ham his entire life. The "creative" bug bit him in fourth grade when he played Christopher Columbus in his school's Columbus Day play. In high school he was a member of the art, music, and theater departments (like you couldn't already tell he was a nerd). There, his passion for performance and entertaining a crowd was given an outlet to thrive. In college Marc had a weekly campus radio show and also performed as a part of a non-profit community theater company, which he also was a board member of. He has written poems, plays, short stories, and (in one of his and Joanna's infamous 3am phone conversations) the dirtiest parody of Edgar Allen Poe's "The Raven" you will never get to read. One of Marc's favorite pastimes is to spend an entire day "in character" often annoying people at work, airports, and convenience stores. In 2012 he started CRH Podcast recruiting one of his best friends, Joanna, and together they set off to share their kaleidoscope view of the world with the internet masses. n 2014 Marc proudly joined the Media Meltdown Podcast Network and is beyond ecstatic to bring CRH to its new home here as well.

It was 2013, the year of our lord, that Steven Crellin joined the Media Meltdown Podcast Network. His presence first took a hold of Disney fans all over the globe when he was invited to join the Media Meltdown Mousecast due to his extensive film and park related knowledge. But the confines of a Disney only show couldn't contain his grace and charm as he was invited to join the other shows such as The High 5 and The Newsroom. Ever since then, no monster film nor personal attack could keep him off the channel as podcasting is in his blood. Steven is a Massachusetts native living in Phoenix AZ with his fiancé Sarah and daughter Lyla who both contribute to his uplifting and hilarious personality as well as his distractingly charming on air antics. When Steven records a show, he portrays nothing but professionalism and extensive film and Disney knowledge. But what it all means is; Steven is just a guy, talking to some listeners, wanting them to love him.
Mike was born and raised in Brick, NJ and was never happier then the day he moved out of there. Mike developed a love of broadcasting as a teenager when he was involved in his high school's local radio station. Ever the smartest guy in the room, and fondly nick named Captain Corrects it All, it was inevitable that he would quickly graduate from the guy heard cracking wise in the background to a full blown member of CRH. Mike is glad to have the opportunity to share his unique perspective, sarcastic genius, and occasional edge of sanity rant with listeners everywhere.
Joanna is a child of the 80s who grew up close enough to the Jersey Shore to know how to throw a mean Skee-ball but far enough away to not become addicted to self tanning. She has been performing in one way or another since she was 3 years old, when she debuted as a singing, drunk mouse in a church talent show. She found her passion for making people laugh the first time she made milk come out of a kid's nose by impersonating MC Hammer. By doing improv in high school and college, she further refined her quick wit and comedic timing which she finally found an outlet for as an adult through the joy of podcasting. She looks forward to shooting the breeze with her two favorite men in the whole world every week in the hopes of making every one shoot milk out of their noses but will settle for the occasional spit take.
