Do you like minions? I know I do. Who doesn't really? Here's the thing... The Despicable Me movies aren't ever nearly as good as their commercials/trailers. Know why? They show all or most of the funny scenes involving the minions in those 1-2 minute spots. This movie isn't very good. The overall arc is derivative and uninspired, and the only thing that really kept my attention at all were the minions. I had this same issue with the first film, the people behind these films have kind of stuck gold with these little yellow friends, however they continually fail to provide anything new or original or worthwhile to supplement them during the course of a 90 minute film. The film is fine, inoffensive, and will wash over you and leave you glad to have been out of the heat and in a nice comfy movie theater seat for 90 minutes. Go see it if you have kids, I'm sure they'll enjoy it, but if you're looking for any sort of "It's good for kids AND adults" type of experience, go see Monster's University instead.

Plot: * 1/2

Technical: Typical computer animated stuff.
X-Factors: Minions are funny. This movie is not.

Will This Movie end up in my collection? No.
