Supergirl #20

This is the most fun I had with a comic this week. It is in no means a heavy issue, it is light funny and beautifully drawn. Power Girl who is an alternate version of Supergirl from another dimension meet and are trying to get into the Fortress of Solitude that Supergirl has built. Between the two characters talking about how inappropriate Power Girls out fit is because she is "to old" the Fortress thinks one is an intruder and decides it needs to kill Power Girl. The go between Supergirl and here computer is pretty funny and great dialog between them. It is defiantly a lighter HAL moment. The actions scenes pop and the animation is pitch perfect.

B.P.R.D. Hell On Earth - Wasteland Part 1 #107

The world is going to hell ever since Hellboy died, but his former team the B.P.R.D. is tring to fight the good fight. A rescue team lead by Johann arrives in Chicago to find a group of agents that have gone missing. What they find is a town decimated and a town full of  giant Ogdru Hem and people tuned into monsters. They find a small group of survivors and start the search while fighting of these unholy monsters. Co-written by the creator Mike Mignola the story flows and its a easy jumping on point to get into this series. The dynamics between the team seem natural and the lost survivors story is heart breaking. The artist fits in the story very well, he hits the tone just right for this story. The details of the monsters and the fear jumps off the page. I am looking forward to part 2 of this story and the title is one I plan to keep reading.
